Allison Millers’ Boom Tic Boom

Hailed by Downbeat as one of the top 20 jazz drummers in America, Allison Miller marries her love of composition, drumming, and community in the form of her band, Boom Tic Boom.

The band has been met with critical acclaim receiving 4.5 stars from Downbeat and making “Top 10 Jazz Albums” lists for The LA Times, Downbeat Magazine, Jazz Journalists Association, and Something Else. The title track, Otis was a Polar Bear, is included in NPR’s 2018 “The 200 Greatest Songs By 21st Century Women” publication. Boom Tic Boom has toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe and makes a stop in Kansas City for this EXCLUSIVE one-night-only event at MTH!

This is an incredible opportunity for jazz lovers in KC; we hope you’ll join us!

“Ms. Miller is a drummer, bandleader and composer with an aesthetic of limber poise, drawn at once to brisk maneuvers and deep grooves.” –Nate Chinen, The New York Times
