For those who love musicals

HISTORY

Musical Theater Heritage (MTH) was founded in 1997 by George Harter as a vehicle to syndicate his nationally syndicated, award-winning radio show, “A Night on the Town.”

In 2003 MTH began producing live shows on a loading dock at the historic Belger Arts Center in downtown Kansas City. In 2007 Crown Center approached MTH about producing shows in its newly constructed, 244 seat theater.

Today MTH operates as a fully professional Equity Theater welcoming nearly 50,000 people annually to Crown Center. MTH houses two theatrical stages, production facilities, studio space, and a public lobby.

MISSION

For the awareness and appreciation of the 100 year history of the American Musical, striving to tell relatable stories with innovation and imagination aimed at serving our community, with an eye toward diversity and inclusion, while entertaining and educating the next generation of artists and Theater lovers.
